Julio’s School

PLEASE PLAY the video
Julio ColeteJulio Colette (right in picture) is a very special kind of person. He lost both his legs  in a landmine blast at the age of 7, but it never stopped him moving forward. With the help of the Foundation we provided him with prosthetic limbs and also funding to complete his computer diploma. He now works at Africa’s largest ISP as a support
engineer.

Julio wants to give back for what he has received and has started a school programme for landmine victims like himself. They will get literacy teaching, basic business principles and also computer skills training. This as a start to help them to get jobs and be productive in the community.

We are currently raising funds for Julio to help him complete building a small community centre where these skills will be taught. We have already started work on building the first small classroom.

The school requires more building materials, electricity, computers and stationery.
